Brick City Cat Hospital Policies
Appointment Policy
For your pet’s safety, please bring all cats in a secure pet carrier or on a harness. Even the most social cats can get nervous in a new space or around other animals.
Need flexibility? Ask about our Day Hospitalization Appointments! You can drop your cat off in the morning, and our doctor will examine them between appointments. We'll call you with the diagnosis and send you home with instructions after the visit.
Prescription Policy (Updated June 15, 2024)
We will no longer accept prescription requests from third-party websites (like Chewy or 1-800-PetMeds). These will be declined automatically.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash. Though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during their visit, they may still be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings, or other pets. This is why we ask for your cooperation in restraining your pet.

Option 2: Prefer another pharmacy (like Chewy)? No problem!

Why We’re Making This Change
- Efficiency: Each third-party request takes up to 7 steps, involving our receptionist, technician, and doctor. Multiply that by 20+ daily requests—it slows down care for patients who are here in person.
- Quality & Safety: Medications sold through third-party vendors are not guaranteed by manufacturers once they leave their original supply chain.
- Less Phone Tag: With fewer third-party requests, we can spend more time helping patients and less time fielding status update calls.
